The following Rules and Regulations MUST be followed by at all times otherwise face account termination:
Currently Accepting/What We Accept:
- Currently The Fantorium Network is hosting personal sites (blog/resources/collectives), site collectives, fan sites and any other kind of site which is considered NON-commercial, meaning its not a big or corporate company.
- We offer FREE hosting, it is our main aim to provide HQ hosting you’d normally pay hundreds for, for free.
- Your site design you have created or the site design someone has created for you has to be of a High Quality and very visually appealing, we will only accept the best.
- You MUST be competent at coding, that is why we ask for a HTML sample, hosting at The Fantorium Network is for EXPERIENCED webamsters only.
Google Ads:
- In order to help pay for The Fantorium Network’s servers, we REQUIRE that ALL hostees place a ad on their site.
- The ad MUST be placed either ABOVE the fold OR so that it can be SEEN without scrolling on a standard sized computer screen.
- You may choose from the following ad sizes: 720×90 (Large Ad), 160×600 (Side Ad), and 300×250 (Square Ad).
- You will recieve the codes to call the ads within your welcome letter, if you have lost your welcome letter visit the support forums to find the out the codes.
- Ads MUST be called via iFrame, please don’t just copy the code from the ad into your layout.
- No other commission ads are allowed on your sites, as it takes away the potential monetary gain for the network, this includes paid hostees.
- If your site exceeds EITHER or BOTH 6GBs in space and 50000 GBs of bandwidth than you are REQUIRED to have a secondary ad code, you may choose the size, details about this can be found at the support forums.
Linking Back To The Fantorium Network:
- It is REQUIRED that ALL hostees link back to The Fantorium Network with either a picture or text link on EVERY page. This link draws in new potential hostees.
- If you have a personal site hosted and wish to host other people on sub-domains than those hostees MUST in addition to linking back to you, link back to The Fantorium Network on EVERY page. This also helps to draw in new hostees.
Your Sites Content:
- You are responsible for your sites content and any of its wrong doings. So do not upload anything which was obtained illegally or stolen.
- Pornography is not allowed on the sites servers, mature photography of a artistic nature can be put on your site, but please post a message at the Support Forums first to obtain instructions from Melissa on what you have to do.
- Do NOT upload any kind of warez or other potentially harmful software to the sites server.
- Your server space should NOT be used as personal file storage, or as a gateway to another site hosted elsewhere.
- All images MUST be hosted on your sites space, sites found to be hosting any portion of their site elsewhere will have their site suspended and webmasters emailed for a explanation. Your account may then face deletion.
- Webmasters are responsible for the upgrading of their scripts but if you are found to have not updated your scripts after a long period of time has elapsed after the script update date, we will suspend your account without notice until you are ready to upgrade them.
Media Files:
- Media files are ALLOWED at The Fantorium Network, as long as they are ZIPPED/COMPRESSED and each file is no larger than 50 MBs.
- MP3′s are not allowed on the sites server as it is illegal and takes away money from the singing artist or band.
Shot Cut URLs:
- Please do not use any free re-direction services (eg. freedomain.co.nr) if you are on a site.fantorium.com URL. Your URL helps promote the network.
- If you have bought a domain for your site please either PM or post a message at the Support Forums for Melissa and she will set your account up with the new domain.
Site Backups:
- Site backups are conducted weekly, but at no time can The Fantorium Network guarantee these backups.
- Users are responsible for performing their own personal backups of their site just in case server issues arise.
Site Updates/Hiatuses:
- Your site MUST be updated on a regular basis, visitors won’t visit a dead site. Sites not updated for more than three months will be considered a ghost site and will be put up for adoption.
- If you need a break or are going somewhere for a long period of time and have no internet access your site must remain open for browsing and you should post BOTH a note on your site and a message in the Support Forums so that Melissa is aware of your absence and doesn’t put the site up for adoption.
If A Domain Name Is Purchased By The Fantorium Network:
- If you wish to leave a site that is on a domain that The Fantorium Network owns you MUST put it up for adoption, content must reside on that domain for a year before it can be deleted.
- The transfer of ownership of Fantorium Network owned domain names to the sites Webmaster will be conducted on a case by case basis.
Site Adoptions:
- If you have adopted a site from The Fantorium Network the site must remain as is. Meaning you CANNOT delete any portion of the site or delete the entire site and start over. If you wish to start over we can set you up for a new site instead.
- If you are leaving The Fantorium Network you CANNOT take a adopted site with you.
Moving Your Site To or Away From The Fantorium Network:
- If you are planning to move your site to us and need some help transferring your site, let us know on the Application Form and we will move your site for you.
- If you are moving away from us then please let us know so that we can make sure that you have a working backup.
Account Suspension/Deletion:
- The Fantorium Network reserves the right at ANY time to suspend or delete a account with or without notice if a Webmaster breaks ANY of the above terms.
- Generally we do email webmasters when problems arise but if you are a repeat offender or prove to be a problem on the network we will not hesitate to take any such action necessary.
These terms are subject to change at any given time by updating this page. You agree that you are bound to these terms of service even if in event you find a circumstance unenforceable you agree that the rest of the terms remain in tact and in force. You agree to be bound to any such revisions made to these terms, so you should periodically visit this page so you are fully aware of the terms and revised terms to which you are bound.
