Hello to potential hostees, current hostees and visitors just browsing the site, welcome to The Fantorium Network, my name is Melissa, and I am the owner and founder of Fantorium. I’m very small, and I get called a ‘midget’ alot. Fantorium is my baby/procrastination tool/education tool, and I’ll tell you a little about why The Fantorium Network exists.
Like most ‘about the site’ pages when it comes to free hosting, most say they ventured into the business because they had received awful services from other free hosting providers. Perhaps I am about to be the first that says ‘for me that isn’t so.’ I have been with one free fansite host, and at the time had not a complaint, and that statement still remains in tact for my time spent there, as I learned alot and I hope that shows, my sentiments now have changed, but I looked back at my time there and say ‘well my experience was fine, and I’m lucky to have that.’
Ever since I started my personal site Anamarlia, I knew I wanted to one day get into hosting, but being in highschool and no full time job, I didn’t have the money to do so, so the idea went to the back burner and I just enjoyed making fansites * for the time being.
The Fantorium Network came to light in 2009 when I got a full time job and was out of high school. My friend Courtney was the genius behind the sites name, without her I shudder to think what I would have come up with. We are only small, but that’s only because we have just begun, but as we get bigger more servers will be bought.
I hope that gives you a little insight into why The Fantorium Network exists and how it came to be.
